Francesco Strano

Born in Catania on 11 February 1986 and grown in Carlentini (Syracuse, Italy), Francesco Strano began studying piano at the age of 7.
His strong interest for music started thanks to an old piano inherited from his parents. He had always seen the piano as a “magic box” full of dreams and surprises with which he could create any kind of emotion. This feeling was a turning point for creation of his own music.
As a child he attended private musical theory and solfeggio lessons, where he started practicing basic piano principles of musical theory, which led him to take part in several music competitions.
In the following years, life took him towards other directions, leaving aside that passion that had distinguished his childhood.

Passion for music never left him and came back stronger in adult age. In 2019 he attended the Educational Music Academy in Milan managed by Roberto Cacciapaglia. This experience and artistic direction of Roberto Cacciapaglia, Michele Fedrigotti, Gianpiero Dionigi and Omar John Darder inspired Francesco to compose in 2021 his first piano-solo album "(In)attesa".
