Riccardo Maini
Biography
Riccardo Maini was born in Domodossola in 17/5/1996.
He has grown in Valle Vigezzo (Piemonte) and he starts playing piano when he was 7 years old. During the same period he was one of Roberto Olzer's pupil, jazz music pianist, organist, performer known all over the world.
Riccardo has taken part along his career in International competition such as “Concorso Internazionale di esecuzione pianistica” which took place in Atri-Teramo and the international piano competition “La Palma d’Oro” in San Benedetto del Tronto.
In 2018 Riccardo Maini published its first self-produced album Dreaming the Universe.
In 2019 he attended in Milan the Educational Music Academy managed and directed by Roberto Cacciapaglia. This experience gave birth in 2020 the new album “Love and Elements” even thanks to the artistic direction of Roberto Cacciapaglia.
In 2020 the score of Dreaming the Universe, published in the homonym album, was chosen to be stored at UCLA library (University of California – Los Angeles).
Since December 2020, he starts to have lessons with the internationally renowned pianist Daniela Hlinkova, that played in concert halls such as the Gasteig in Munich, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic.
Today Riccardo keep studying in Milan at Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory.
In 2021 he participated in the international competition for composers "Composition Competition Oper Leipzig" in Leipzig (Germany) with the piece Air, almost reaching the final.
Also this year he starts taking lessons from the international pianist born in Kyrgyzstan Andrei Andreev, acclaimed international award-winning pianist, has been on tour, has held master classes and conferences in the United States, Europe, Russia and China and studied in Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Italy and the United States. Andrei's coaches included prominent pianists, such as V. Mischouk, A. Tarakanov, D. Riley, P. Steinberg, A. Dossin and S. Vartanov.
